How the Zeo Reactor is (slowly) working

Well a few weeks back, we posted about the setup of the Zeo Reactor. Unfortunately, the experiment is not going so well. The BioPellet Experiment (disaster) has caused an explosion of Nitrates (NO3) in the main aquarium. Yesterday the NO3 levels were testing between 50-60ppm, which is tragic for a reef aquarium.

The of course is always a brighter side, and that is the levels were in the 80ppm range just a month ago. We did purchase some frags recently, but those SPS frags obviously are slowly dying because the NO3 levels are way too high.

ZeoReactor is working!

SPS Corals ZeoVit System

After a few weeks, we switched to using a ZeoVit system and the results have been very nice. In fact, we picked up a few frags over the weekend from Garretts Acropolis in Southern California. Here is a pic. Enjoy!
