In keeping with the “green” theme, the question for today is… When was the last time you replaced your UV Sterilizer lamp?
If your tank is getting a little green on the glass or acrylic and you are running one of these units, it’s probably time to replace the lamp. In most cases, these lamps should be replaced every 14-16 months. When doing so, be careful because the quartz sleeve is very fragile and could break, thus costing a little bit more money.
